In A War

Age 17

The mind and soul are torn

Divided fighting one another in a war

Abortion born, Abercrombie worn.

Lies of hypocrites sworn

The world so cold

but the weather too warm.

Coming in with a Quiet Storm.

Barely informed.

The black clouds swarm

The children scream and run

Parents open up the screens and rum

Watching as the unstoppable comes

Duck and cover for the little ones.

Stop, drop, and roll

for the old.

So little known

of the hostile old soul

that now beholds

the pen and paper

but it’s not as if they care.

Maybe someday later

if I’m still here.

The mind and soul are torn

fighting in one of many wars.

Abortion born upon lies sworn.

Coming in with the Quiet Storm.

You have now been informed.
